Andrea Lawseth joined the Langley Environmental Partners Society (LEPS) in April of 2007 as the Agricultural Stewardship Coordinator. Andrea graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Agroecology from UBC with a concentration in Animal Studies and Pre-Veterinary Science. She chose to continue her education in Agroecology at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences in Aas, Norway and is currently working on her master’s degree thesis with a focus on urban agriculture and the interaction between the rural and urban environment. Since 2007 she has been the project coordinator for the Manure Education Program for Small Lot Farmers. She has worked closely with horse owners and hobby farmers to help them manage their land and wastes more sustainably and in accordance with the provincial regulations by conducting site consultations and workshops. Andrea also produced the Land Management Guide for Horse Owners and Small-Lot Farmers in 2008.

Flora Wood works as a crop consultant for farms around Victoria, BC. She has a degree in Agricultural Sciences from the University of British Columbia. Flora has worked with many types of animal farm operations and has a passion for composting and local food production. She is offering manure management consultation services and hopes to link composted horse manure with local fruit and vegetable growers.
