Born & raised in Cranbrook – growing up spent most of my time either riding horses or acting in plays. Got my degree in Ag from UBC, majoring in Animal Nutrition. Started with government in 1995 as a Forest Planning Assistant in Cranbrook, then bounced around to various auxiliary positions – including planning forester, range agrologist and file clerk - for 3 years before getting a permanent placement as a Land Officer in Smithers in 1998. In 2003 I was lucky enough to be offered the position of Resource Stewardship Agrologist in Smithers.

I currently live on a small 10 acre farm in Quick (near Smithers) with my husband, 3 daughters, 4 horses, 5 chickens, 2 dogs and 3 cats.
